Touring by motorcycle for me is not about getting from point A to B. It is about the experience, enjoyment and freedom about getting from A to B and taking route C, D and E along the way, just because..
I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where you can see the mountains in the distance to the West, the foothills to the North and South and the flat rolling plains to the East. It is a vibrant city of 1 million like any other city with the exception of that the citizens tend to wear cowboy hats and boots, roam around in boom box, lowered pickup trucks and listen to country music… What a stange place to live in!
Outside of Calgary a huge wealth of hamlets, counties, towns, and cities provide an outstanding opportunity to explore! The roads can be mountainous and curvy or as flat as the horizon depending on what direction you feel like heading out that day!
I’ve traveled Alberta on my motorcycle and wanted to share a small part of that experience with you. Unfortunately I didn’t always get a snapshot of where I was but I did manage to take quite a few. Click on the map below to choose your destination.
