I only have about 1 spam e-mail show up in my inbox a week, otherwise it all gets shunted into the trash automatically.
Hmm, maybe I'll have the chance to head out your way one of these days, that'd be just as good, or meet 1/2 way for a quick ride. |

Next time, next time rapid! I KNOW you aren't that far - meeting up 1/2 way one of these days would make for a fun ride once i figure out my highway legs. Btw - I was born in Watrous so not too far from where you are. |

| All straight highway and lots of wheat fields...whatever. No matter. And it is totally "pee" pouring rain here right now - has been all day so far & supposed to be tonight too so maybe you don't have to be envious! Not sure what's going to happen with the group ride today....I know I won't melt though! |

I don't suppose any of you folks will be getting up here to Fort Mac over the summer. I'll be taking my road test pretty soon. (Work is getting in the way) I've been riding lots with a friend considering it's 100kms return to Fort Mac to my home. We usually take a ride Sunday mornings.
Drop a line if you're way up here. If you're here and see the silver CB400T Hawk w/ Windjammer....that's me. Mid-life crisis on the cheap!!!!!

The actual e-mail
Quote: Once again I'm looking to get a group ride together. Been out on both Tues and Wed night this week and it just keeps getting better and better.
So I'm thinking we should meet at the UofA parking lot (again) it's on 87th Ave, and 114th street right next to the parkade. It'll hopefully be the place with all the bikes :D Meet around 11:00AM, and we can do a quick shot around.
In secret the whole point to me planning these things is to drag people to The Garage (both because the burgers rock, and Jim the owner loves having the bikes outside). So I'm hoping to do a short prelunch ride - about an hour, ending at The Garage. From there, food, conversation, and then out for a longer ride.
Sunday IS father's day, so I'm assuming everyone is going to want to be home in the morning, and for dinner, but it ought to be a really good ride.
Betty, you're in charge of talking to Char.
Owen, I should be able to arrange a place for you to crash if you decide to come, and need to spend the night.
In any event, I'd appreciate a quick reply if you want to go.
Regards,
Jeff
Anyone is welcome to show up. If everyone I talked to actually shows... we're going to be splitting into a couple of smaller groups. Because I REALLY don't want to lead 10-12 bikes through downtown by myself, lol. |

|
|
So I'm off all week and have a hankering for some hot wings. Wednesday is wing nite at both Earls and Don Cherry's. Anyone interested? I thought we could do a ride and then stop for a pound of wings on the patio if anyone is interested. We can decide where based on who is going to show up - I'm pretty open.
Drop me a line if you're free tomorrow (or anytime this week) for a spin and some eats.
Bubba. |

Wings = Goodness.
Shall we meet at the Butterdome parking lot again? Say, 6:30pm? That gives us 2 hours riding, 1 hour eating and 1 more hour travel home in the light. Gotta love our latitude. |

So I just spoke w. Karate Chick. Tomorrow (Wed). 6:30 at the Strathcona Science Park. It should be more central and less traffic for pretty much everyone. We can decide from there where we want to stop for a bite. If you havent been to the Science Park - take either Yellowhead or 101 Ave (or 82nd Ave) to 17th St. It's just south of the Yellowhead.
Hope to see everyone there! :D |
