Anyone from Brantford, Ont....need help with a Yamaha xs400

I have an 82 Yamaha xs400 that has a starting problem. I can start it with the assistance of a little carb cleaner, revs up, but quits at idle, then won't restart.
I think that it's something simple but can't put my finger on it. I cleaned the carbs, getting gas, getting spark and installed new plugs.

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

check what the jetting is set at from the factory and then see what sizes you have in your carbs. check compression in the cylinders, choke, you might be sucking in too much air so check for vacume leaks
