I am in Lee's Summit, just East of KC.
My Rider's Edge class in 14 April, and my first bike purchase will probably be the day after I am done.
Any others in KC? Stl? LOTO ? Mid Missouri? and elsewhere?
Any Sportster riders? Other H-D? Buell? Or even those riding the fine bikes from faraway places?
Planning any group rides?
Suggestions for fun place to ride to in Missouri?
And whatever else you have to say.......... |

I'm in Springfield. I just bought a 1998 Honda VLX 600, and it's my first bike. I took the MSF class a few years ago but never got a bike (got the top score in the class, with absolutely ZERO riding experience - probably because I had no bad habits since I didn't have any habits at all :).
Rode for the first time last Sunday, and had a blast! I put about 100 miles on the back with two friends that have been riding for quite a while, and we just explored the back roads of SW MO. Was an awesome experience. I'm hooked! |

Sounds great.
Did you have any problems because of the long delay between the class and the first bike? |

Hey Peeps,
Look at the Chicago area thread (about 2 or so down). That looks like an awesome ride and you guys are close enough to it to meet up with them, you would actually be the start of the TM Mid-West Ride.
I am so jealous!
Stay safe and take care!

| Kansas City here. Took my MSF course about a month ago and started out with a new 05 Yamaha Virago 250. Anyone know any groups in the area that ride small bikes or wouldn't mind having a small bike join them? |

Hey, Dusty;
I'm a new old rider - retired and back on a bike after 38 years. It's great. I live just west of Gardner (SW of Olathe). Lemme know when and where you'd like to ride and we'll get together.
I ride a Shadow Spirit 1100, but I ain't picky about bike sizes if you're not. Also, FWIW, I've got most of the cold weather gear (no electric), so I'll try anything - at least once.
When the weather is warmer, I'm a two-up rider with my wife. 8)
Gimme a holler - any of you who are within riding distance of the greater KC area.
