I'm in Cincinnati.

Also looking for my first bike, so if any of you in my area know of something, let me know. So far everything I've looked at hasn't worked out for one reason or another.

See...we are going to have to have a Dayton/Cinci meet or ride this Spring/Summer. Maybe this would be a good meeting point. Nice riding around here.

That would be great! Except for the fact that I don't have my license yet, just my learners permit. Unfortunately I can't register for the safety course until August and take it in September. Though starting next week I am going to be showing up at the training facility for every class in hopes to get in on stand-by.

I'm not actually from Ohio, but if there's anything happening the northern/middle of the state, I'd probably still be interested, especially if it's more than a one-day event. :)

Hey!, Scan and I used to live in Chicago. We went from a population of 4 million to less than 3,000 - go figure!!

It's sort of last minute folks, but tomorrow ( Sunday, 05/29), I'll be taking a little ride from Yellow Springs down Route 68 until I cross the river into Maysville, KY. If anyone along the way wants to ride along or meetup, just let me know. Later!

Well, not really. There is a spring, but it is only ankle deep and it is very iron filled water. Looks orangish. I guess orange springs didn't catch on. There are a couple of small water falls and cascades. Some very nice riding and some great place to ride around here.
