Heyas~
I'm not actually from the Chicago area (Lansing, Michigan, really) but I've got some friends out there, and I'm up for shooting down a couple solo hours for the ride out there if there's an event happening. :D
Anyways, should someone want to put something together out that way, I'm up for it. :) |

| Hmm, we should try and do a TMW ride. There are a couple of us in the Chicago area. Well two in Indiana. I have the weekend of June 10-13 off if anyone wants to take a long road trip. I'd love to ride to Niagara falls. It'd be fun if a few of us State-side riders were able to meet up with some of our Canadian brethern in Toronto. |

Hey, that sounds pretty cool to me. :)
Just about anyone from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, or Illinois could meet up sonmewhere on the road before heading into the Canada area.
Think we should send around some PMs to see who all might be interested? |

| I think we should send out the pms, it'd be fun if we could get everyone together. Or since this is such short notice, plan something for July? |

Yeah, I was thinking that June 10th is pretty close too..
I could probably go on the 10th, but it'd be better to let more people have time to work it out. |

I will be visiting Chicago from the 19th to the 23rd. Is there anywhere that I could rent a bike to ride? Just thought I would ask :) Is there a place and time where people meet that I might could join up with?
Thanks

Hi,
The only place I know of to rent bikes is the Harley dealership, and they're pretty expensive. Last I checked it was $130 a day or so. I'll glance at our yellow pages to see if anything else comes up. If it does it would be great to hook up for a ride. Have a safe trip. |

Hey There,
My trip to Chicago was AWESOME!!! I had a GREAT time, and I actually thought about moving up there, however; I am not sure the bike would come with me... you guys don't seem to have driving laws, more like driving suggestions LOL!!! Of course the subburbs looked a bit less scary than down town :D

So I haven't had much luck with the Chicago riders the last two years. They say third times the charm!
So for the third year  any Chicago riders? |

So we finally got a few illinois riders posting good. Last time I posted no one ever responded I think. Well I live up north in the rockford area near the wisconsin border. But I'd be to meet up for a ride. Although I would need advanced notice.
And your right about downtown. People are just crazy behind the wheel. You would probably be safer standing in the path of a tornado lol. |

LoL, I actually feel very safe and comfortable riding around downtown. Everything moves in nice little predictable patterns. It's out in the boonies that scares me, I don't know what the cars are going to do!
Rockford's not that far out, I like to head out to the Geneva area from time to time for riding, maybe we can hook up one of those rides. |

Ya I would welcome the company zarak. I have taken a ride up to the geneva area once and it was very pleasant. As far as city traffic, tight traffic no protection and a whole lot of pavement = :frusty:
As far as when would be a good time the weekend would probably work best. Actually if you get off of 90 West at the Genoa\belvidere road exit there is a pancake house we could meet at just up the road.
In any event have a good ride. |

| So zarakand do you think we'll finally get a full day of dry time soon? Really is putting a serious killjoy in my riding plans. |
