Re: Register Your Rides Here - Tell us about your ride!

i want this one https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ed/3e/38/ed3e38bfa558ee96eb999db2ee02917e.jpg Is that the bike for a "gilt" trip? You would "tire" of the gravel hitting the back of your helmet, neck and back if you actually rode it. Not to mention what it would be like in the rai...

Re: Riding partners?

My goodness, there's a lot there to unpack! On the one hand, it's wonderful that the two of you can share this hobby. The ride and the destination both are always such a reward, Carrie and I often talk about how it wouldn't be fun without one another to share all those experiences with. Or, that th...

Re: Riding partners?

Due to the fact, that I don't have a significant other, I ride my own bike. I do, however, enjoy being pillion occasionally depending on who is the rider. I need to be able to trust that the rider is smooth and safe. I have ridden on the back of a couple of bikes with people I would never ride with...

Re: How many times have you dropped your bike?

Hi there, I really do appreciate your viewpoint and I do agree that it is not "normal" to drop your bike. But I still have trouble agreeing that it is the SAME as a crash. I would like to offer 2 examples that may be information you are not familiar with: 1. the ST models (both 1100 and 13...

Re: How many times have you dropped your bike?

Wow, I'm glad i didn't include all the times I dropped my dirt bike when i was a kid or you'd be sending me to rehab! Oddly enough, I've never dropped the Victory which is heavier than your Nomad. (btw the ST 1300 loaded and with a passenger is also close to 900 lbs so yeah, it does compare) Not sur...

Re: How many times have you dropped your bike?

When you ride a bike as heavy as an ST 1300 Honda you are going to drop it at some point. Not riding it. But in the parking lot or at the gas station. Where there are bound to be LOTS of witnesses. Since riding ST's I have dropped mine at least 4 times. Not crashes. Just tip overs. Before that I onl...

Re: Riding partners?

[/quote] Has your wife rode pillion on the ST? Carrie's CTX1300 is a great 2Up bike when we take the kids around, and my C14 does great with a pillion rider too. Both are pretty comparable to the ST.
