Re: Daimond Back Route in NC

I found a route like this during a visit to Germany (one of the best places I have been for motorcycle riding). Will be tackling this when I am in the states! A must ride in the Blue Ridge Parkway area gpx750guy! You will NOT be disappointed making the time to do this route along with "Tail Of...

Re: 2011 Ducati Multistrada 1200 - COOL WALL VOTE: In Progre

Thanks for posting this Mike! Great info and I obviously voted AWESOME. Since I bought the used 620D I've been all grins when I ride her and to think of a 1200 MS with tunable HP and suspension...WOW...I'll seriously put this on my bucket list, having had the pleasure of owning the GS1200 and my cur...

Re: mustang seats

I'd have to agree with Mike, BEST $ spent! I was at Sturgis with my 03 Fatboy (rode it from San Diego, CA) and went by the Mustang tent...$300 later left with a solo seat and had them ship my stock seat home. On the way home I took the longer way home :D

Re: Blueridge/276N/215S/BRPW/441S/19W/28N to129 Deals Gap

Good question Mike and an often asked one, I'd have to say the #1 was the BMW GS1200 for it's all around 3 bikes in 1...fun off road & surprisingly agile for it's size, powerful enough to cruz triple digits smoothly and can handle the twistees as aggresive as you can push her. I did 2 IBA rides ...

Re: Blueridge/276N/215S/BRPW/441S/19W/28N to129 Deals Gap

Thanks Mike, I got the pics taken from 129slayer.com and killboy.com they set-up at certain corners and when I noticed them I'd hook a U and make a couple passes.

Thanks mog, it's a really fun bike to throw around and the torque is awesome :)

Blueridge/276N/215S/BRPW/441S/19W/28N to129 Deals Gap

From Asheville, NC jumped onto the Blueridge Parkway heading towards US441, taking a couple of detours on 276N which is really tight and fun the southern route takes you to Brevard and that's not as tight with more traffic to deal with, then conected to 215S which was very tight and bumpy (it's well...

06 Ducati 620D Multi Strada

OK, here in Asheville, NC for work for over a month and now jonezing for a motorcycle. Tired of renting Harley's for 2 weekends now so I started surfing CL for a dual sport bike no more than $4500. Found this 06 Ducati 620D Multi Strada that came with Termignoni exhaust, Sergant seat and new Perrill...

Re: Need endurance for long rides - need suggestions

Well flw, you've got a handfull of good advice here and I'll ditto Gummiente, Lion Lady, JC Viper and sapaul. I'm 53 and mind-set is what's got me through the IBA (Iron Butt Association) 1500 miles in 24hrs and the 50CC (IBA allows 50 hrs coast to coast) I did it from San Diego, CA to Atlantic Beach...
