Welcome to the forum!
I've been away for a couple years due to life being life... but this is one of the best bike forums out there. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, not a cliquey as other sites

Re: Returning after a few years away...
And would you look at that... another couple years have gone by. Bikes are still hibernating in the garage, daughters car became my car so that she could get a "new to her" model and move on (it failed the inspection and the amount of work to be done after I fixed the initial electrical pr...

Re: Returning after a few years away...
Repairs to my daughter's car are not going as expected...still not road worthy...so I haven't touched the bikes. My wife hit a deer shortly after my last post...we had finally bought her a brand new car, she got to drive it for about four weeks before the deer encounter  So her new car is in ...

Nice choice in bike...V-Star bikes are great! I have a few friends that have them and I also have a Yamaha, and I if I hadn't crashed it I would still be riding it...needs some more work.

Re: Brand New Rider
Congratulations on making the transition from passenger to rider!
I wish my wife would, but doesn't trust herself to ride...but at least she will go for a ride
I've even tried to talk her into a scooter, but not interested.
Rebel is a great bike, very reliable (it is a Honda )

Re: sluggish takeoff
I'd make sure the accelerator pump is working properly, or maybe you need to size it up to reduce the bog.

Re: Returning after a few years away...
Madjak, good to see you back! The forums have been kinda slow but just recently there seems to be an uptick, and that's exciting. So which bike are you most excited to revive, the ST or the MT-01? Thanks for the responses...I've had a busy year. Lots of working with little time to spare...but thing...

Re: My first Motorcycle
My first advice is... Before buying anything, go take a motorcycle safety course. Most courses (at least here in Canada) have an assortment of bikes you can "practice" on. Try all the different styles of bike that the course offers so that you can see which style makes you feel most comfor...
