Re: This Week: 2015 Polaris Slingshot SL - Vote Today
I have mixed thoughts about the 2015 Polaris Slingshot. I have similar thoughts as Hanson. It is unique looking and I think it looks cool. at 1800lbs w/170hp this would be a blast to drive. (I would expect under 6 second 0-60mph times) @ $24k I would not consider it practical. No cover from the elem...

I like the looks of the MC. For now I consider it cool, although depending on its ride ability, specs and cost my opinion can change. Since it is electric, I would like to know: Distance to empty on spirited riding. It would need to be at least about 110-150 miles (~180-240km) and ideally about 200-...

For the right type of person, this MC can be oodles of fun. (Could also be a ticket magnet )
Although I do not see myself riding this type of MC, it looks like it can be a blast to ride. Definitely cool.

Re: Questions from a soon-to-be Rookie!
JCPenny, Welcome. If you have not taken a MSF course (or the Canadian equivalent) I recommend it. You can learn valuable riding information as well as determining if you really want to ride for under $350 USD (fall 2012). I do recommend getting quality riding gear. (helmet, gloves, jacket, boots, et...

Awesome!!! :kicking: I am interested in this MC. It looks great. (I like the classic UJM style) Fuel economy and weight are good. (66mpg / 384lb. wet weight) I assume that this MC could easily maintain 70mph for extended time periods. (2-3 hours ) I would have interest in some updated older designs....

The MC has decent looks, but it does not seem right for me. It does have some impressive specs: Fuel Economy: Combined City/Hwy 551 mpg -- I'll be ready when fuel is £10/L Engine Torque 253.8 ft-lb -- real stump pulling power from a 53.9 cu. in. engine Seat Height, Laden 725.5 in . Too tall for me. ...

The MC looks great but I would not like to try fitting on the passenger seat. (As blues2cruise noted it is about the size of a stamp.)
It is more MC than I could (currently) handle or want, but it would probably be fun on the PCH and the interstate highways.

Mike
Perhaps it keeps the area under the arms cool?
Other than that thought, I can not think of any advantages for ape hangers.
I vote uncool just for the ape hangers.

Re: Man Buys Motorcycle, Dies After 3 Mile Ride
Sad result. I think everyone can benefit from taking a MSF type class before buying and riding a motorcycle.
