Re: High_Sides Trips and Pics

Yeah, the dialog box for pic uploads says 300kb is the limit, but it's actually 150kb.

Re: New guy here.

Hello! First, congratulations on making the decision. That's half the battle right there is deciding you want to. You're on the right track. After reading your posts a few times, I think your best bet is the Scout to start on. It's a very even-tempered machine with predictable power delivery and fai...

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

I think one of the greatest tensions in all the world is the tension between preparation and freedom. May I elaborate? Of course I may, it's my blog. We went for a ride yesterday. Yesterday was January 1st and we live in the United State of Utah, which is at the 40th Parallel and USDA hardiness zone...

Re: Happy New Year 2024 from Total Motorcycle!

Eloquently put, Sir.

It's a sad state the world is in in when we've decided to use AI to create art and humans to deliver groceries. It was supposed to be the other way 'round... :(

Are you checking your email? (; I think your spam filters might be a bit over-zealous...

Re: Every now and again .....

I remember you Paul! I've made your sausage-stuffed pork loin recipe half a dozen times over the years, and I still recount the story you told about Marshalling for a gay pride event to customers in my store. Glad to hear you're doing well and still riding, thanks for popping your head in. I've been...

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

Missing my Bully this morning. Bully, you say? Well, that's Bully owner-speak for the Suzuki Boulevard M109R. It's possible owners of smaller Boulevards also call them Bully's, but I'm pretty sure the honorific is reserved for the big one. Anyway... Yeah, missing the bike. He's here, of course. I co...

Re: I am a leaf on the wind!

What matters is that you're happy with the decision. The GS is definitely going to be the more premium choice. I'm just wary of anything not Big 4 after watching my friends struggle to keep their Euro bikes on the road. Revilla published an excellent ride report on the revised 2024 GS1300, you shoul...

Re: I am a leaf on the wind!

Sorry to hear about the job/company going belly up, that had to be a hugely stressful time for you. I hope things are looking up these days for you.
A good friend of mine rides a SuperT and he's just as pleased as punch with it, hard not to like such a capable bike. You plan to take it off road any?

Re: I am a leaf on the wind!

Very cool, you absolutely should!

Any musings on what sort of bike you'd get? You rode the poo outta that wee-Strom for a while there.

Re: To Ride an Iron Horse - Jack of the Green's Blog

Soooo where to start? It's my motorcycle blog, so I guess the first update should be the what I'm riding. I picked up a 2020 Versys 1000 SE LT and sold my Concours14 to a friend of mine. Loving the Versys, not as fast as the Connie but way more comfortable and modern. Crusie control, ride modes, lea...
