Re: Annoyed!
I know it is kinda old, but it seems like I can come here every six months and get caught up.
Anyway, I have the stock battery in my 2008 Speed Triple. It's a Yuasa and I put the bike on a batterytender every day. If not, it'll die in short order.

Re: BC lady kills rider, gets one day in jail
After the Rep Janklow case, I lost all faith in justice when a motorcyclist is involved. It still amazes me that his right to practice was reinstated after he hit, run and left for dead a man who served his country.

Those Cobra slip-ons are really cool on a VMax. Let us know if you sell it.

Re: This week: 2013 Ural Gear-Up : Vote Today
Motorcycles are so supposed to be practical? Let's face it, if practicality was the only important factor in buying a motorcycle, we'd all be driving a Ford Focus. While it's a not a bike I would be interested in for myself; I can understand the appeal of buying a brand new, old POS. If I had more m...

Re: This week: 2013 Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom : Vote Today
I never said the S40 was better. While the S40 might a be a small-framed thumper, it's highway capable and the smaller frame is less intimidating. I think people believe that their first bike should be the last bike they own. The reality is, a beginner bike is something to learn on, not marry. The s...

Re: ARE HARLEYS WHAT THEY ARE CRACKED UP TO BE?
I race a Buell XB and owned a Dyna. I don't think they are the highest quality motorcycle in the world. But parts are CHEAP, insurance was cheap and you can buy low and sell high pretty easily with Harleys.

Re: Deciding on a new bike..
Hinkley Triumphs are not your father's Bonnevilles. So far, the build quality and dependability has been better than my last Honda motorcycle (and that was pretty impressive).

It's come a long way from the Virago days.
I know $8,000 is quite a bit more than $7,000, but $8,000 can get you a Suzuki C50 or a bottom-end Sportster 883. I think both bikes are worth the extra cost over the Star. And if you're a beginner, the Suzuki S40 is much cheaper.
