Ninja 650R, SV650/S
Eh...don't know about the SV for a tall guy. I'm 6'5'' and my buddy's SV isn't comfortable for me at all.

Have you looked at the naked bikes? In general they offer a little more leg room.

I picked up a Cortech GX-Air not too long ago. Mesh with a little leather on it, removable wind/water proof liner and a separate insulating liar. It's pretty well vented when you're riding...but like all jackets, it gets hot when you're not moving.

If I remember right, I paid ~$180

i totally agree with you, but due to the nature of forums and message board communications, just wait, this will turn into a HD vs. Sportbikes thread and then a Helmets vs. No helmets thread, then someonw will pull out the deadhorse.gif and Verm will talk about how his knee touched the ground (whil...

Always interesting how a story turns into a philosophical debate about the do's and don'ts of safety gear...but with very good points on both sides.

Now...does anyone know where I can find a dead horse? :boxing:

Funny, I'm 24, 6'5'' and I ride a litre bike...but I'm not bullet proff. This sounds like a really bad idea for your brother. I don't think it's impossible to learn on a large CC bike (I did), but the situation has to be very controlled and there needs to be a lot of respect for a machine like that....

And I don't feel particulary sorry for anyone who wrecks on their bike when they have a perfectly safe cage parked in the driveway. Or for skydivers who die after jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Or for rock climbers who fall to their death after leaving safer ground. Or for scuba divers t...

Don't let it bother you...some people get off on trying to get others off so don't be suckered in It didn't bother me at all, I always wear my gear. My life, my choices. Just strange how some people think. I guess for that guy, a bike is more about being cool than anything else. I'm happy to know I...

Because I wear a helmet?

Odd experience tonight... I'm kicked back relaxing and getting ready to watch some fireworks at the local venue when a group of sport bikes pull up and park. All 3 guys on their Ninja's (yes, actual ninjas) were wearing a jacket to match the paint job and a backwards hat, each bike was also decorate...

I had a similar problem with my previous bike (Suzuki RF900). I pulled all 4 carbs and cleaned them out as well as replace the plugs...it ran just fine after that.

Might want to give those carbs a look.
