M109R 2006 v. 2007 clutch issue...

#1 Unread post by Zak »

I test drove the M109R recently and was satisfied with the bike however concerned that there was a shifting/clutch problem. At first, I chaulked it up to the bike being new however after spending time on different sites and reading other forums it became clear that the 2006 M109R may actually have a serious issue. Is anyone aware if Suzuski addressed this issue proior to the 2007 production?

Haven't had a chance to ride one, but the '06 I sat on at the dealership had one helluva strong clutch spring. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the hydraulic unit on my Streak, but DIZZAM!!!

I have a 2006 109 and from what I understand, all Suzuki cruisers have this 1st to 2nd clunking loud shift.

Have not received any info from Suzuki regarding this "issue".

My only problem with the bike is fending off "wimp".
