Kawasaki Vulcan 1500
Kawasaki Vulcan 1500
Hello everybody, I am currently riding a 2001 Honda Ace 750 Great bike, but I am a big guy and this is my first bike and I am ready to get something with some more power. I was checking out a 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 today, it was a nice bike with all the extra' s and the price seems really good, but I don't know anything about the kawasaki line. It has 13000 miles. If any one can give me there input I would appreciate it. Thanks

Hi
I own a 97 VN1500 D2. It's done 29k - the last 23.5k in the last 12 months.
I love it. It's big enough for the job I put it to and I make it nimble enough to wind it's way through the jams.
Servicing every 4000 miles is a bit of a "dog", but hydraulic valves sure as hell save on having to pay a mechanic to do the shims every 12000 on other makes.
Read the Daily Grind for my experience (see blogs).
Yes I am bias.

If you can see the tops of the mountain's it's going to rain.
If you can't - it's raining.
All Characters and events here are allegedly fictitious...Any resemblance with either dead or living is purely co-incidental
And don't ride faster than your Guardian Angel can fly
