A couple of my buddies have '01 R6's....the '01 is the 1st year Yamaha used fuel injection...I've heard they had some problems with this...but I don't know everything. I know you are getting an '02 (which has some improvements with regards to working out the kinks), but do some research on it and find out what you can. I don't think it's anything MAJOR, but it's worth looking into.

strong!

the only performance mods i have is a TRE and the SET valve mod. very simple and cheap stuff to mod but they make a noticeable difference.

i'll always miss my previous 1K but im very satisfied w/ the 750 right now.

Hardly.

If the bike is a good fit then it is going to be comfortable. I just read a write-up of the new litre Fireblade in an Australian magazine where they thrashed the bike at Phillip Island and then one bloke jumped on the bike and rode to Perth which is over 3,500km's in under two days. He said it was as comfortable as any bike he has ridden and would do it again no worries.
