Washed, waxed, & complete minus an exhaust upgrade

Just some pics of the Meanie after a full-body massage with some Dri-Wash 'N' Guard and some Corbin leather treatment. She's complete for now, but I'll be adding fuel management and a set of 3" Cobra Speedster Slashdowns next season. I'm open to questions, comments, and criticism.

Here's a pic of the '84 Honda NightHawk 700SC I traded-in on the Meanie:

I would have liked to keep the NightHawk, but figured I'd never ride it in light of its stable-mate!

I have a question - what saddlebags are those? Never seen a set like that before.

And btw... nice bike!

Those are the Vulcan saddlebags made specifically for the Mean Streak. Note the Vulcan logo on each one (-=V=-). They are leather-look semi-hard bags with a hard plastic floor. I've never seen another Meanie with them mounted (usually people put some ugly Willie and Max bags on that don't match the bike at all :x ).

Oh, just an exhaust and a Cobra tri-pot for the fuel/air mixture. Although, I do have my eyes peeled for a headlight from a Suzuki Marauder 1600 or an M95 on eBay. The flat one it has now no longer fits the bike.

Ya know...I get more compliments on the color than anything else. Makes me wonder why Kawasaki dropped it after just one year. The pics don't do it justice...it looks like glass in person. They call it "Candy Thunder Blue". My hat's off to Color-Rite for mixing up a spot-on batch of it for the chin spoiler and reaper front fender, and to Bob Wark (www.warkshop.com) for sprayin' it on and rubbin' it out like the pro he is!

Cheers!

Funny thing is...neither am I! Thank God this thing hauls arse and corners really well! (note the footpeg-induced chicken strips!)
