Suzuki Katanas

#1 Unread post by eugeart »

I've been looking around for another bike- an eye to the future. I've considered Honda- CBR's, VFR's or Buell but the Suzuki Katana 750 has caught my eye as an inexpensive sport-tourer. I want something that can go the distance- as in across the US if I want.

I'm sure plenty o'ya'll have owned this model. What's the lowdown? If I recall correctly Suzuki has a electrics quality issue in the past but a fairly robust powerplant.

Not an obscure model but there doesn't seem to be the aftermarket parts availability as for the CBR's or Gixxers.
The only time I feel any real catharsis is on a MOTORCYCLE!

I got all excited when I read the thread title. I thought you meant the real Katana's:

Seems I remember the 750 Kat runs about the same price as the Bandit 12, which is much more suitable for cross-country work, and probably at least as good in sport mode. Mucho more power, too.
