gotta jump into this one
I own a RK, I have owned a convertible, ultra, and a 71 sportster 1200. The most fun bike to ride was the 1995 convertible, it handled a little better with more lean angle than a low rider, and it was about as fast as anyone ever really needs. It punished you hard for riding more than 300 miles, I was always so happy to need gas. If I was younger, I'd still be riding it now.
The RK is sort of like a ----well---a Buick! Smooth fast and comfortable but it doesn't make you want to be humming Born to be wild. It is a great tour machine, and I'm happy with mine.

I rode both the 883 and the 1200...it was like night and day to me. I chose the 1200...looks almost like your favorite (same color)...on steroids.Aggroton wrote:this is my favorite right now...
I did add an engine protector/crash bar...a low padded sissy bar...the sissy bar mounted LED brake/tail light..and some skull accent items.
No matter how far I twist that throttle...it seems to have more power..
Sheesh...gota take some pictures....
