Prostatitis and Motorcycle Seats (Duc 696)

#1 Unread post by Brackstone »

Hi Gang,

Sorry if any of this is TMI for you guys but I wanted to get straight to brass tacks. My Doctor Diagnosed me with prostatitis and it's pretty uncomfortable. He thinks the condition will clear up but regardless I would like to look into more comfortable motorcycle seats.

My new bike is going to be a Ducati Monster 696. Does anyone know a manufacturer that makes alternate and more comfortable seats for someone with my kind of problem? I think they are called split seats? I've seen a few things here and there on google but does anyone have someone they trust?

I'd appreciate any recommendations, feel free to send me a PM if you don't want to reply on here I won't spill the beans.

Split like a McClellan saddle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McClellan_saddle
Jammer makes some split seats but they look really uncomfortable (look more like a bicycle seat) Best bet might be a seat cover that has two foam pads seperated.

Thanks for the input! I hope I can find something that is functional AND looks nice. If I do I'll be sure to post an update here.

Interesting bit of information on that saddle btw! :)
