Has anyone used this horn or have any other air horn they would like to recommend? I'm buying one for my next motorcycle.

The link is broken but I've heard plenty of great things about the Stebel Nautilus. Some riders complain it stopped working shortly after installing it but a vast majority say it works great.

I am ordering one in the next day or two, I am tired of wimpy motorcycle horns. Almost got run over when someone violated my right of way and didn't hear my horn until I was already safely moving away.

I think I'll get one for my car, too, so when I honk at jerkbags who don't know how to use their turn signals, they'll hear it.

You won't regret it. It gets the attention of ALL drivers.

I hit it by accident the other day when hurrying to change lanes in a traffic jam & the semi driver looked in his mirror to see what was going on.

I've installed one on my K75 and find it is an attention getter. I use a horn as a last resort but when needed it'll wake most cagers.

As an aside its a fairly large lump of material and the manufacturer recommends a vertical mounting so you may have to be creative to find a suitable location. I had to remove brackets and use lots of zip ties to locate mine high in the fairing.

I love my nautilus. I've used it three times for cages. First time the little VW bug that started to cut me off hopped right back in her lane and I got the finger. Second time the guy in the F-350 that was cutting me off jumped back into his lane then kept looking behind him in his mirrors and out the window to see what caused that sound. Kept looking right passed me "Nah- motorcycles aren't that loud" . The last time I was doing 10 mph in traffic, being tailgated with a jersey wall on the left. Hit the horn and held it as this woman in a red civic kept moving into my lane while jabbering away on my cellphone. She didn't hear it! :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: So I kicked her door hard enough to leave a dent. After she finished screaming at me for hitting her door I told her not to worry, I wouldn't be pressing charges for assault. Shut her right up.

Anyway- while a loud horn is definitely better than a wimpy horn, it has nothing on my size 11 boot... I mean other hazard avoidance maneuvers (stopping, swerving, throttling out)

I expect so. We pulled the stock horn off my Rockster and used some garage engineering - little metal bracket from Home Depot, etc. to install the Nautilus in its place. It is at a slight angle, with the bell pointing mostly down.

To further "hide" the horn, I sprayed the galvanized metal parts of the horn with flat black rattle can paint.

I do recommend that you toss the 50 cent relay that comes with the horn and buy a good one at Radio Shack, etc. After getting caught in a heavy rain, the original relay failed.
