Which riding gloves?

I am trying to decide on which set of gloves to buy for riding around on the street. My criteria are: good protection, all black, vented fingers, and less than $100. Two gloves I’ve seen so far fitting this criteria are: Held Ninja Sport Riding Glove http://www.derbycycles.com/cgi-bin/eSho ... .cgi?pid=4 for $98 and the Vanson 7R11 Track Gloves http://www.vansonleathers.com/main_page ... ction2.htm for $80. I like that the Held gloves look a bit beefier than the Vanson gloves, but are their levels of quality equal? Is one higher quality than the other? Does anyone have any other gloves to suggest? Thanks for your help.

I would just be happy if somone would make black leather fingerless gloves that did not turn my hands black...I would be cool with dat!

Hmmmm. What about the Olympia #340 Vented Kevlar Protector? I’ve tried it on. It seems to be sturdy and it fits all of my criteria. http://www.olympiagloves.com/performance/340.htm Has anyone heard anything good or bad about this glove? Again, thanks for your help.

You have to get gloves that are motorcycle-specific to protect your hands. Icon barrier gloves are stylish and totally motorcycle-specific! It has padding on the back and padded rivets on the palm.

I have a pair that I couldn't ride without

Well, I saw a glove which fits my criteria, and at an excellent price! I paid $99.95 for the perforated N2 Kangaroo gloves. http://www.motoliberty.com/prod_detail2.asp?ProdID=232 So far, so good. When it gets a bit colder, I might spring for the non-perforated version of these gloves. Thanks for your input.
