X-Lite X-801 helmet?

#1 Unread post by kabob983 »

Anyone have any experience with the Nolan made X-Lite X-801 helmet? I noticed they're selling pretty cheap nowadays and didn't know if it was because people started hating the helmet or if there is some design flaw, or if it's just it's time to sell cheap. But when I see a $360 helmet for $130...I get suspicious!

Anyways, the helmet looks great and seems to be well made. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with it?

Where did you see the Nolan helmet for this price?

Just doing a google search I come up with several sites listing the price over 350. Is it a possible typo?

Get me one!

Neg. No typo.

Check most of the way down. Nolan XLite X801R Champion in silver, red, blue, or yellow is $153.

Then there's this.

Wow!
That E-bay price is excellent and with decent shipping too. I can't see any reason why this is a bad deal. I might do a google search with the key words Nolan, x-light, problems and see if anything comes up. The search I did earlier came up with positive product reviews. The only thing I think might be a problem is the no return on the MAW site, if it didn't fit or something.

Wish I needed a new helmet, the Nolan fits me just fine. We sell them in the shop that I work in and they are quit popular.

I got a $399 Joe Rocket Revolution all-weather touring jacket from e-bay for $125 .... it was just a closeout bargain. Sometime there are deals to be had ... though I only bought the thing because my local dealership had one to try on (so I knew how it fit)

Recommend you try one on before you buy.

I also own a Nolan N102com. It's been a great helmet and their Anti-fog face shield works great

I'd love to try one...but no one around here sells Nolan products...grrrrr...

Ebay is my favorite place to buy gear. I got a like new Teknic Violator (retails for about $400) for $51 + shipping last week. I almost got a pair of Alpinestars Supertech boots, which went (brand new) for $120. I sorta...forgot to bid on 'em.
