Team Suzuki Press Office – May 13.

Suzuki launched its new Satria F150 machine at the second round of the SUZUKI ASIAN CHALLENGE Championship at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand at the weekend.

The fuel-injected, water-cooled machine features a host of custom extras including Yoshimura Exhaust System, Mikuni ECU and engine control system, Racing Boy rear shock absorber, racing steps, handlebar grips, stabiliser and chain guards, plus SSS Aluminium blue sprocket, RK-M415 chain and Dunlop tyres.

The popular and exciting series, which is run alongside the Asia Road Race Championship (ARRC) is Suzuki’s rider development program for Asian riders, using the single platform Satria F150.

SAC General Manager Yukio Kagayama said: “We introduced the all new Satria F150 from this round, so the staff were very busy during the race weekend, but we were able to finish the weekend without any major trouble. I thank all of the staff involved, Suzuki, Dunlop, and all of my sponsors to make this happen. The riders were able to get used to the new machine quickly and at the end lapped about two seconds faster than last year, so I am happy that they showed us the potential of the new F150. The riders raced very cleanly in this hot heat, and I am also happy that I was able to see the riders improve.”

Race two winner and current series leader Rozaliman Zakaria said: “ I changed my sprocket setting for race two. I made a good start but was passed several times, but I told myself not to panic and concentrated on where I needed to be on the final lap, which was the right decision and I am happy to be able to win on the new Satria F150.”

Race one winner Muhammad Sapril said: “The new Satria F150 is more comfortable to ride with more engine power and it gave me the confidence to win this race. I concentrated on being in the lead group throughout and I made sure I did not overrun the final corner on my last lap and very happy that I was able to win the race.”
