Scenic spots in your neighborhood...

In your part of the world, there has to be a little "something special". I'm lucky enough to live in an area that has a whole lot of those special spots. One such spot is just a ferry ride and a few hours drive, then a 45 - 60 minute hike, away from my home. It's the Skookumchuck Rapids. Now we're not talking a nice little river in the country, but hard core tidal rapids cause when the tide changes and flows through Skookumchuck Narrows on the Sunshine Coast in BC. Over 200 billion gallons of water flow through the narrows during a tide change, click on the link below for a short video about sea kayakers and shooting the SKOOK...
