Hydraulic Lifters

#1 Unread post by Amdonim »

This may be a stupid question, but I checked the manual for my bike, and I can't find a service interval for my valves. Is it true that hydraulic valve lifters do not need adjustment, or am I missing something?

That's correct. No valve adjustments required.

Hyperr's got the simple answer, but to complicate it further, some do and some don't... lol
I know for example on Yamaha cruisers they have forked rockers, and one of the forks is a fixed length, the other is adjustable. The hydraulic lifter adjusts the fixed one, and the adjustable one has to be adjusted if it's off.
Otherwise, for the vast majority of the time, no they don't lol.
