Ignition Switch

#1 Unread post by swfan689 »

I have a 1996 Honda CB750 Nighthawk that needs a new ignition switch

My question is Ive chosen to go the aftermarket route, what switches am I able to use? Original is a 2 wire, Can I just use any 2 wire ignition? A lot Ive seen on Amazon are for older bikes, am I able to use those or should I shoot more towards the ones that say universal?

Thanks in Advance

You can use any 2-wire ignition switch as long as it will handle the amperage put through those wires. Most will.
Or you can do what I plan on doing and wire those two together, but put in a hidden switch somewhere else on the bike, making it nearly impossible to find unless you already know where it is. Great anti-theft device.
