Skyjet 125-23 High Rev's

#1 Unread post by DarkScuzz »

Hello guys,

Basicly what is happening is.......

I by mistake flooded my carb, cylinder so i did a strip down and de-flooded the carb and cylinder and clean up the spark plug

I put fuel tap back on full and the fuel/air mixture around 2-3 turns from full screwed into carb

Now after reassembling everying but the fairings when i goto start the bike it High rev's stright away, so i turn it off stright away and there of course

is still smoke coming from the Exhaust

I need to know if i need to something more

Thanks

High reving is indicating of an intake leak.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Hello thanks fore reply,

Ive spoke to my sisters BF who owned a Skyjet, he thinks it might be two things, throttle cable sticking or the throttle valve is not seated correct

Ill have a look later today or tomorrow, if i get time and ill let you know if i get it sorted

thanks

Well i've been busy and havn't had time to do anything, till now

I've just took the carb back off de-flooded it again , set the throttle spring return in the carb all the way down (needle)
Recleaned the spark plug
Put it all back together,it tryed to start and revved to 4k, pulled spark plug again and recleaned it second time, it got it to start for a second but then it dies stright away,
(ans rev's only 4k-4.5k now) instead of 9-10k
Air mixture needle is 2 full turns out from carb
and then battery desides to die on me...................... :frusty:

so recharging battery now, and yes i turned off the cockpit, i just hope it starts when battery its charged

Thanks

Sonny
