2012 Kawasaki Voyager 1700 ABS has a valve tap during warm up

What I think it is and what it really is could be miles apart of just a few feet. I start the bike up and it has a tap sound coming from engine area. If I let it warm and ride it, the tap sound will practically diminish. I haven't touched the bike as its under warranty still but I want too. I thoughta of getting a shop manual and trouble shooting it. The valve could be loose or a port for oil to the valve clogged. Just need to know if I should take the plunge. We've been strapped for cash, expendable anyway. If I keep riding it, that could cause serious problems. The bike really has only been out 2x since winter. Its been in the 70's and 80's here, riding for sure. Any guidance here would be appreciated. A push really? Take it to the shop..Uggh or investigate myself? TX
