ZX-14R tires.

#1 Unread post by William »

It's been quite a while since I've been on here, close to 3 years. Since then, I've bought 2 bikes, trading my FJR on the second one back in April, a 2015 Kawasaki ZX-14R Ninja. I now have 3 bikes.

The Ninja came with Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S20F E (front) and S20R E (rear). I now have a bit over 3500 miles on them, and the rear is getting very close to needing replaced.

The manual suggests the above mentioned Bridgestones, or Metzeler TL Sportec M5 Interact E, as replacements.

I want a longer lasting tire than the Bridgestones, if possible. Would the Metzelers last longer? Or is there something else with the same speed rating (maybe Dunlop?) that would last longer? I don't mind paying extra for extra tread life, as I prefer longer intervals between tire swaps over cost savings.

Thanks in advance.
