Scuttled Skully helmets.

#1 Unread post by faded sun »

Did anyone here make it to the Beta stage to test one of these or actually take delivery before the scam fell apart?

Just curious if anyone got to try one and how it was.

For those that don't know about it they were developing and marketing a helmet with a camera in the back that projected onto the visor so you could see what was coming behind you. They went under amid allegations of financial hanky-panky among the owners with a lot of unfilled $1500 orders. Ouch!

Here's a link to an article about it:

Nobody I know went in for this. $1500 was a lot for an unproved gadget. Personally, I tend to buy $200-300 helmets - I could buy one of my current favorite (Kabuto Kamui) in every color they make, AND have change left over, for $1500!!!!
