Spell Check

#1 Unread post by zarakand »

Is there a way to add spell check to these forums? A lot of times I'll forget to cut and paste into Word to do a spell check. It'd be nice if TMW could get this feature.

Mods, Mike, is it even a remote possibility?

That's an easy one, I use:

http://www.iespell.com/

Then you can spell check anything with just the right click of the button... :D (note: have to remember to use it more..haha)

Sadly, it doesn't work for Firefox. I did a quick google search for FF spell checkers, and there is one well known one called Spell Bound. However, it does not work with the latest version of FF for those of you interested in using it on earlier FF versions click here

Good point zarakand! For those who use IE Explorer, IE Spell is compatiable with all IE versions (That is great news for the 95% of visitors to TMW use IE), but sadly, if you use FF you are SOL.

The moral of the story is, use IE for compatability! haha... (sorry, I'm a big IE supporter).

Ok, feel free to shoot me now

Eh to each his own. As long as there's choice I'm okay. When there's no choice and total monopoly things start to stagnate and get pretty bad. Lots of cool extensions for FF though :)
