Yes! Traffic jams are the perfect time to practice balancing the bike vertical at a dead stop. I can do it for almost 3 seconds.

I practice these skills daily and weekly on weekends with buddies. We set up cone patterns and ride for hours trying to turn within 2 parking spaces or less. Of course it sucks when somebody falls and we all have. We use Harley Road Kings, Ultra Classics and Honda Goldwings. ITs a blast and we practice the skills patterns police motor officers do and they are tight maneuvers just watch their videos on youtube, those guys are crazy good.

As far as balance. There is a guy on youtube where he does a turn where he stops, balances and then turns into a tight circle.

he is in a police uniform in blue on a harley. I have watched his videos he is nuts.
