RPM means revolutions per minutes. When you Rev the bike the RPM goes higher. It aids in when to shift the bike to the next higher gear. Yes, It is normal RPM. My friend has Kawasaki Ninja 250 R. It has 32.5 Bhp @ 11000 RPM maximum power and 22 NM @ 8200 RPM torque.

you can also re-gear to keep the RPMs lower if you are mostly doing higher speed riding

I would say thats normal so you better get one of these if you want a lower rpm :mrgreen:
