Well, the first time I'll be riding on the street, will be on monday on the way to the tag office, so hopefully I'll only be on the road for 15 minutes without the tag.

Way to go on getting your permit. 8) It's good to know you're riding legal now. :)

I got my license plate today, and my bike registered. So I went for my first ride on the street today. Lots of fun, a little chilly, but the weather was decent. Rode maybe 20 miles so far in traffic, and I'll be going out some more in about an hour, so I can go apply for some jobs. The cagers weren't too bad, the only real problem I had with them, was them making me nervous by tailgating me. My Nighthawk did well, shifted smoothly, accelerated quickly, I couldn't ask anymore of it. So yay me, today is a good day.

Ughhh... so I'm really depressed about some "poo poo" going on with my gf. So I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, so I can just hop on my bike and cruise I guess. Hopefully that will make me feel better...

So I got in my first motorcycle accident today, and I have to say, it was not fun. Obviously I'm ok, since I'm typing this. Just a few scratches and bruises, and I think a sprained ankle, I didn't even got to the hospital.

Basically a guy was waiting to turn left, and started going, because he didin't see my in the right lane, because there was another car blocking his view or something. I saw him, and thought he saw me, so I kept going, as soon as I went past the car that was stopped and blocking the view, I saw he was going. I was going maybe 35 at this point, so I slammed on my brakes, he slammed on his and stopped, I was going fast enough that I couldn't completely stop, and hit him at maybe 15-20 mph. I rolled over the hood, an landed on my hands and knees, and had the presence of mind to crawl off the road. Someone called the police, and they showed up, and ended up charging the guy with failure to yield. The bike was actually not too bad, the front fender bent down, taking a gouge out of the tire, and the left turn signals got bent, and the left side body work cracked. But besides that it was pretty much ok. It was still running, so I ended up taking off the front fender and riding it the few miles home. Now I just want to lay in bed, because I'm all bruised, and can't put weight non my left leg.

Anyway, so the good thing is, it was his fault, so his insurance will cover eveything, and I should be able to actually get some stuff fixed that was messed up even before the accident.

Really glad you're ok. A wreck on your third day street riding, man that's a tough one.

Haha, yeah, I guess I have some pretty damn bad luck. Especially concidering I got hit by a car just this past january while riding a bicycle. Some dumb "O Ring" teenage girl cutting through the parking lot to avoid the light, and speeding, didn't see me at all. I'm still fighting with her insurance over that, because the cop didn't cite either of us. Luckily this time, the other guy was cited, so i don't have to worry about his insurance not covering it, and hey, maybe I'll be able to get some stuff fixed that was already broken before hand! I'll post some pics of the bike tomorrow hopefully.
