Possible Unofficial TMW East Coast Meet

#1 Unread post by -Holiday »

Would anyone be interested in attending a meet up in the fall? I think it would probably be for a weekend, and to keep it centrally located I was thinking somewhere on the Blue Ridge, or Skyline drive in western Virginia state. I was thinking late September or early October. It would probably be at a venue with camping and/or cabins for people who arent into sleeping on the ground.

If enough people are interested I will proceed with more planning and setting a date, etc etc. If not, then fvck it :)

Just post here if you think you'd be interested.

BTW, I say unofficial because I didnt ask Mike for his support, and I am in no way affiliated with this site, aside from the fact that I post here :)

It's not that I'm not interested, but an all-weekend gig requires I use one of my two vacation weekends a year from my Sunday job. I would drop in just for Saturday to meet people, but west VA is a serious haul for a one day down-and-back. (I miss a lot of rides with my RAT pack for the same reason- they keep scheduling them on Sundays.)

yea i can understand that. i think we just need enough people interested in doing "something" and then we could figure it out in better detail. if more people are located somewhere farther north we could move it, or if most people prefered one day we could do that. Whatever works. Maybe nothing will work, who knows.

I'd definitely be interested next year. I'm headed to disney with about 12 family members in October so I can't this year. Great idea though Holiday!! Hope you get a bunch of folks together for it.

i would love to but i'm going to be on a missions trip for a good chunk of october. really any time before or after i'll probably want to be with my family. plus, if you're talking about getting there on bikes, i'm new and don't think i'll have the confidence in my skills by then. but if this happens next year, i think i might be in.

Sorry dude, let's try again next season. I know Loonette and I are spread too thin on money this year with two family trips, and gas being so costly. But I like the idea. Let's keep it on the back burner man.

Yeah, definitely keep the idea warm for 2008. I think there's interest, it's just scheduling that's tripping up folks.
