unchained trip

#1 Unread post by walkerinin »

I am riding from Indiana to Maine to N.C. to tenn. and back home to indiana. I am going to do thid trip unchained. My question is... does anyone know of a good website that lists independant hotel/motels? All the major sites I visit only list chain hotels and if independants are listed there is no web site and little info is given. I don't need fancy but I don't want a meth lab next door to me either.

My first challenge is in the south west Cleaveland area. That is our first stop and I need some help. Thanks to all.

I finished the unchained ride. It was awesome!
I was gone 24 days and traveled 4,700 miles. Pictures and details are here: www.davesunchainedride.com

What is an "unchained" ride? Did you just buy a shaft-drive bike? Get a divorce? Quit your job? Throw away your cellphone?

I saw that term elsewhere on this forum, but still don't know what it means...

Cheers,

Mac

Thanks for the pictoral review. You sure went through a lot of states. Good weather for the whole trip by the looks of it.
