Beaver Creek State Park makes an excellent destination for a day trip from just about any part of Ohio. The Park is located in the South East corner of the state, you can find the park by following Rt 30 or Rt 172 east from the Canton/Akron area. Follow either Rt 30 or Rt 172 to Lisbon Ohio, from Lisbon, follow Rt 154 east to Rt 7, and then take Rt 7 south a couple of miles and watch for signs, the entrance to the park is clearly marked.
The park offers beautiful scenery, fishing, hiking, several picnic areas and a log cabin settlement with an old grist mill which was operating yesterday. The many secondary roads in and around the park are perfect for dual-sport riders. Entrance to the park and use of the park is free. Figure 60 or 70 miles one way from the Akron Canton area. Don't forget to stop at the Steel Trolley restaurant in Lisbon for lunch.
