Probably due to my early and heavy exposure to dirtbikes, I hardly ever plan a ride 'to' anyplace. I ussually just get on the bike and ride, turn when I feel like it, hammer on it when I choose to do that. At some point, I take stock of where I am and how to get back, so I guess that counts.

I plan the ride home from where ever I end up after I go for a ride. 8)
Where's that catagory?

I love my all day (6-10 hour) rides and look forward to picking a place on the map and just.... riding.... to it with no time table. :D

The most memorable rides for me are the weekend ride with over night stay. 600km one way, a overnight stop with a nice bed, shower and brewskies and then and 600km back.

Mike.

I like to "just go" I wouldnt have a problem with just getting on the old bike and wearing it out. I need MONEY,MONEY,MONEY. If I had plenty of that I'd see just how many bikes I could wear out. Would'nt even care where I went as long as it was south in the winter and north in the summer
Live it like you mean it, this ain't no dress rehearsal!

Dayrides for the olders like me....I like my own bed at night these days.
However, a typical summer day ride approaches 300 miles, which qualifies as a real ride, I think.
