Re: Winter blues in canada
Although we are just starting to get snow in southern Ontario. We do have the Toronto Motorcycle show to keep us entertained this weekend. At least when you go to it you can go sit on a multitude of bikes. Then in the begining of January is the super show to go to.
And then its only a couple of months before we get some nicer weather that we may go riding in. In the meantime the snow can come for Christmas and I hope we get a lot for all the sledders out there.
Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.

Yeah, I'm planning on going to the Edmonton bike show mid January...it's a bit of an exercise in frustration...go get all excited about bikes, then wait two more months before you can think about riding again...the joys of being in Alberta...
I better take up skiing again (X-country...I'm cheap & out of shape), so that I don't go stir crazy over the winters...
Later.

Re: Winter blues in canada
Our motorcycle show is at the end of January. In past years, blues and I have ridden to the show... It's about 30 - 40 miles out in the valley, although the evening ride home was rather chilly...

Re: Winter blues in canada
Do they have it in Langley or something?
You guys don't really get winter out there, it's more of a cooler rainy season...in the 70s we used to skate on the ponds, now you're still cutting your lawn (well, maybe not but close)
I'll keep my four seasons here in Alberta (I'll still b!tch about them), as long as we get the blue skies...people actually get grumpy here if it is rainy for more than three or four days in a row...
Later.
Edit...what is with the gramar police in here..."dog" about them??...somebody is over sensitive...

Re: Winter blues in canada
Another winter in canada. Put some new toys on the bike this fall after putting it away. Highway bars, floor boards, rectangle mirrors and running lights. The floor boards were awesome and makes it a lot easier on the feet. They should be stock equip. on a bike instead of pegs. Had a real good summer once it arrived, put on 12,000 km. I was invited to go to wellsboro Pa. this summer with a club out of Brantford. It was about an 8hr ride each way, but 2 days riding in the mountains while we were there. The area is beautiful and the town caters to the bikers. I'am working on a trip to NC, Tenn. and Virginia for next summer. The plan is to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tail of the Dragon and several of the other routes that are in the area around Robinsville NC. Also do a lot of site seeing while there. Searching for things to do next summer shortens the winter. If you have nothing to look forward to you have nothing. It also makes working in the crappy weather worth while.

Re: Winter blues in canada
I'll definitely be at the bike show this year in abbotsford, probably on the saturday though. I had considered riding the bike out there if the weather was okay, but I'm probably going to need to take the car so I've got a way to get anything I buy home
