Here's an update on the current state of affairs with my MT-01...I thought I had it fixed, but I didn't properly seat my wheel bearings, so now the wheel is in the shop being repaired properly...I just want to get riding...

I've also come up with a solution to my need for a touring bike, but I'm not saying anything in case I jinx it...so I'll have to post an update when I have the solution ready to be revealed...

Later.

Well, the new bearings are now installed...but I thought I could install new seals on the right fork...nope, damn special tools! So off to the shop I went with my fork & seals...they were booked solid until August something...but they said 'since it's off the bike & you have the parts, we'll try to fit it in between jobs...', okay sounds good to me...that was last Tuesday. Today I got a call from them, I'm thinking 'excellent, the fork is ready...riding tomorrow'...but then I hear 'when we took the fork apart, we noticed that it was bent...do you still want us to put the new seals in?'.........ummmm, NO! New seals don't fix a bent fork tube.

So off to Yamaha to give them another $550 for the fork & wait for arrival...but it's on back order...again...so now I'll be lucky to be riding my bike before August! This season isn't quite working out the way I had hoped...DAMN!!!

I damn near bought the used Hyabusa sitting in the show room, but that isn't the right bike for me...would be a pile of fun though!

Well, I guess I'm not lucky...the fork isn't due here until August 3rd.

The only good thing is that date is a worst case type of date, so it should be here sooner. But I'm not gonna get too excited, it probably will only come in a couple of days early...so my BC trip may have to be postponed...unless I take the wifey up on the green light to get a different bike.

I'm really seriously thinking about a Yamaha FJR1300...but we'll see...

Getting a new bike seems like a great option.
