Season Openner ride - May 4th...

#1 Unread post by madjak30 »

Anyone interested in going for a season openner ride on May 4th? I'm planning a ride with another group, but all are welcome...here's the proposed route...starting in Olds (at Timmies), then to Calgary (Blackfoot Motorsports, or Timmies across the street), out to Cochrane (at Timmies) and back to Red Deer (Gasoline Alley Timmies)...yes, I support Timmies...but other suggestions are welcome

Here's the MAP

Let me know if you're going to join us so that we can wait if you're running a little late...we are still deciding on times, so any suggestions made here will be passed on...

Hope to see some of you out for the ride!

Later.

Season Openner????? Hell, I've been commuting to work on the Connie now for over 4 weeks. And last week was enjoying the warmth and admiring the blossoming Cherry Tree's and other flowering tree's.
Always ask why.

Yes...thank you from the Lower Mainland (smart a$$)...Alberta has a slightly colder weather pattern and I'm jealous, but not enough to put up with Vancouver...been there done that...but feel free to join the ride! Just watch out for riding through the passes, could be a little sketchy ;-)

wouldn't mind going, but sadly life (work, bills, commitments, money, bleah) is getting the way.
Always ask why.

That route will be a really nice ride. The 8 to the 22 and the 2A, nice choices!

I've heard it's been a cold spring there in Alberta. :cold:

Yup...not an early spring like predicted...but it's turning around now! Should be seeing double digits next week...so +14C(58F) should be the temps for Saturday...I'm doing a ride then too, if anyone is interested...heading north to Leduc to meet with a couple of buddies.

I think both rides are going to be nice...I'll post up some pics when I'm back. Just have to get through this week & get home...in Ft Mac right now.
