I love muscle cruisers, so I voted Cool, but I could not vote Awesome because of one bike. If this were the VMax I would have voted Awesome.

Okay, great choice! I always looked forward to Friday's cool wall motorcycle! I'm a muscle cruiser fan, although I,m not sure if I would consider it a true muscle cruiser. How many horsepower is it putting out? If it ain't putting well into triple digit hp, it ain't a muscle cruiser IMHO! Anyway, I have a buddy who has one! I love the whole thing except the head light...ugly! So I have to give it a cool vote. Now the m109r2, that would have gotten an awesome vote from me! Actually, the m109r2, I would maybe consider as a replacement for my vrod....well maybe not, but close. My buddy put a 250 rear tire and I believe it comes with a standard 240. All those cruisers should come with a 240 rear tire. I know the handling decreases, but buying a cruiser for handling is like buying a box of donuts to lose weight...just ain't going to happen!

I love the cool wall...the only problem is I think of motorcycles like I think of beer, they all look good when they're sitting in front of me! You all have a great weekend!

Mark

I had to vote Uncool, but if there was option between Cool and Uncool I would have definitely used it. Unfortunately, this bike is just a hair more Uncool than Cool. As mentioned by Mark, the headlight is just fugly. I also detest the radiator appearance on these bikes, although I am glad to see that Suzuki has minimized its appearance in profile, which is a huge step forward IMHO. I've never ridden one, but as it is seems to be in nearly direct competition with my Hammer, I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy the ride.

I think what tipped it to the Uncool for me, personally, is the fact that a lot of the shiny parts just look too plasticy for my taste. I've always thought that a cruiser should invoke images of a great steel beast--all attitude and muscle and rip-snort power. Too many of those parts look like they're more rip-off than rip-snort.

I voted: COOL

I really like how Suzuki brought in the "Sport Bike styling" into the cruiser mix. Not a lot of Cruisers out there have mixed that successfully as the M109R. I like the gauges, I like the two tone paint job, I like the streamlining of the bike and the flow of it's design as well. I know jaskc78 mentioned a negative about the radiator cowl, but doesn't it look much better (more integrated) than the V-Rod's version? It's a BIG radiator so there is no hiding it, unfortunately.

The headlight and the bike's bulk really stop me from giving it an Awesome vote. I've sat on it and it's bulky although comfortable.

Suzuki says it best with "Like Suzuki's sport bikes, the Boulevard M109R balances extraordinary performance with crisp handling, thanks to a technically advanced chassis and suspension, matched by world-class brakes"

If I had to go with a M series Suzuki Boulevard it would be the looks of the previous edition M50, I just like the tail better (always chasing tail it seems...haha) but the M109R is a close second for looks... can I just get one a little less top heavy?

COOL bike, especially in the blue and silver.

It will be interesting how the vote swings on this one in the end.

Mike

Yeah, I like the two-tone paint as well, and the color-matched frame (unless that's just a cover on the visible bits). I gotta agree with you on the tail, Mike--I'm a huge fan of bobbed rear fenders (where the fender actually extends out above the tail light). And yeah, the radiator is a huge improvement over previous years and the side covers on it flow a LOT better with the lines of the bike, I just personally prefer the cleaner look of a bike without a radiator at all, and would like to see them trim back the pieces that extend out and look like they'd deflect air away from the engine. Again, the cleaner look, but from a pragmatic standpoint it'd help with keeping the engine cool when you're moving.

If I was comparing it to past M109's, this bike would be an awesome for sure. Comparing it to what I like and look for in bikes and to all other cruisers, I stand by my mixed Cool and Uncool with just a tad more Uncool tipping the scales.

Meh... mediocre styling, useless "fairing", awkward ergonomics, bizarre dash layout and no thought given to passenger accomodation and too much chromed plastic. The Yamaha V-Max nailed the muscle bike genre, the Triumph Speed Triple has the hooligan bike crown and the Triumph Rocket III has the biggest, um, manly bits. The M-109 comes across as the two wheeled equivalent of the "Fast and Furious" boompa-boompa car to me.

I always liked the M-109 even though I'm not real a cruiser guy. I had never knew that there was an M109R2 and after looking it up it looks pretty great in my opinion as well. I'm pretty sure that I have never seen one on the street in Canada however.

I haven't seen too many M109's on the roads either (they do have them in the UK for sale as well... here they are called the:

Suzuki Intruder M1800RZ

I can't really see them as a viable option on british roads and traffic... Imagine not being able to lane spit (filter) when everyone else on a motorcycle is...
