I think if you are buying a Harley, this is the closest thing to a real bike...the rest are chrome and paint barges...okay not all...the XR1200 & V-Rod would also get a "Cool" vote from me...but there isn't much chance of one being in my garage...I don't like them enough to buy one!! but they are cool enough that I would ride one...

They are still a little spendy though. But cool overall.

I read what bike was next and thought ehh, I love Harleys but the 883 has never been my favorite bike, I just don't fit on it that well, but after seeing the 1st picture, I thought it looked good. If there was something between cool and Awesome, that is what I would vote, it's deffinitely almost Awesome, but almost Awesome is not Awesome so I have to vote Cool.

I'm not a Harley hater, but I'm not a fanboy either...but the Sporty is a sharp looking little bike...emphasis on little...I don't find them comfortable at all...and as for being "spendy", they are the cheapest way (other than used) to get onto a Harley...

I voted: Cool

Harley-Davidson could easily make this "awesome" but there are a few things for me that are in the way.

1st is the Fuel Capacity 3.3 gal. (12.5 L). That's just too low for any serious distance riding outside of a city. It should be around 16l IMO.
2nd is the size of the bike, it's really small for many riders, a little more leg room to fit 5'8"+ riders would be nice and while I'd like to ride one, at 6'4" that's a dream which isn't going to happen.
3rd is the Suspension Travel of - Front Wheel 3.62 in. (92 mm) - Rear Wheel 1.63 in. (41 mm). That's just too small to soak up many bumps! Imagine hitting a 4" deep pot hole and only having 1" of travel!

I do like it's design and the fact that Harley-Davidson offers a "entry level" bike and at a great price too ($8k isn't bad!) with a cool brand name, custom styling and a sound that is really cool as well. Plus with hundreds (if not thousands!) of accessories you can make a 883 into anything you want and that's pretty darn awesome.

Uncool. There's just no way in heck a bike as small as a Sporty needs to weigh 565 lbs wet (and that's with only 3 gallons of gas). Triumph makes a better Sportster, always has- it's called a Bonneville.

I pondered this one for a while and then went with Cool. Part of me wants to say it's awesome, part says cool and part says uncool. But in the end I've settled for cool because that's what I think it is.

It's a cheap way to get into the Harley line. It's got no chrome so the price stays down and probably attracts a younger crowd (not trying to sterotype here...). But it's too small in physical size to fit anyone bigger than average stature and it's got some faults like small fuel tank and rough ride. What really made me vote cool is the fact that you can customise the hell out of it!
