.......and the idea of a actual sport tourer like the other's have. Although they are trying with the 2012 Suzuki GSX1250FA ST/SEA Touring
IMO the GSX1250FA is a lot closer to the idea of a sport-tourer than a ST1300. And if something happened to my Trophy, I would much sooner buy a GSX1250FA than a Concours 14. The GSX1250FA comes at a reasonable price, it's not larded up with electronic gizmos, and the Concours has no answer to its 130 lb weight advantage. No, it doesn't have the top end performance of the Concours, but ........ seriously.... where the heck am I gonna use that? The Bandit motor is famous for its fat torque band. I sat on a GSX1250FA at the NY show last month, it felt light and comfy.
Out of the sports tourers on the market, I really like the BMW K1600GT. :kicking:

The only bad thing about it is the sticker.... :boxed:
2008 Ducati Hypermotard 1100
2006 Kawasaki KLX250S
2004 Honda CBR600RR
2002 BMW R1150R
1996 Ducati 900SS

....... and its obese, porky weight!

For years I've been wondering how the 700+ lb ST1300 can be considered a sport-anything. Now I can wonder the same about the K1600GT, too! :humm:

Oh trust me, the cops around here have ST1300s and they're remarkably maneuverable and quick for their size...
Up in Denver they have the K1200RTPs.
Fort Collins has ST1300s.
Phoenix, AZ, still uses KZ1000s, but some of the smaller outlying cities use the K1200RTPs.
Have owned - 2001 Suzuki Volusia
Current bike - 2005 Kawasaki Z750S
MMI Graduation date January 9th, 2009. Factory Certifications in Suzuki and Yamaha
