I too would like to see the return of mid pegs on the V-Rod. I really, really liked the Street Rod when it came out (as it had mid pegs), then it was discontinued in favor of a riding position that seems inline with a nut cracker (for us tall riders) than a cruiser style position.BRUMBEAR wrote:....I would have given it awesome if it had mid pegs thats a personal preference I don't like forward mounted controls to much.
Keep hoping to see a new "Street Rod" version released each model year but nothing yet so far...
Mike.

That is definitely one undisputable thing about Harley-Davidson, they have the most amount of accessories per model than I've ever seen from any other bike manufacturer.snakedoctEr726 wrote:Mid controls are available in the HD parts and accessories catalog.totalmotorcycle wrote:BRUMBEAR wrote:I too would like to see the return of mid pegs on the V-Rod.
That's awesome to know as well.

I really really liked the V-Rod, especially when it first came out. It's one of a few H-Ds I'd consider owning.
But man, it's been around since 2001, with pretty incremental changes (a displacement bump, ABS, a slipper clutch, and a heck of a lot of styling variants). Don't they sell enough of these things around the world to fund the R&D for a next gen V-Rod?

Re: This week: 2014 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Spc: Vote Toda
I doubt HD has any plans for a "next gen" VRSC. In the next few years we will probably see the VRSC electronic control module replaced with the body control module, similar to softails and sportsters, and maybe an improved suspension. Don't expect a frame up redesign. I don't think HD will ever put the VRSC engine in another frame, for the same reason Porsche will never put their truly high performance engines in the Boxster frame. They're afraid to make a machine that's better than everything else they sell.Grey Thumper wrote:Don't they sell enough of these things around the world to fund the R&D for a next gen V-Rod?
