Jeez, that looks fantastic.

I'm assuming Honda's done its research, but I don't know if they're making the right conclusions from whatever data they're getting. They could've learned (and this is wild speculation on my part);

1. A standard won't sell as much as Honda would want it to (especially a standard with a massive 1800cc engine)

2. People like the cruiser riding position.

3. Younger riders don't like traditional cruiser looks.

So in order to grab as huge a market as possible, Honda is trying to please pretty much everyone, and the Valkyrie is the result. I would've preferred that they used the Goldwing engine in a sport tourer myself, something more akin to BMW's K1600GT, but maybe that's too much of an overlap with the Goldwing.
