With the 2 new water cooled machines coming in a few K less, This antiquated heavy sluggish and poor braking sportster trying for what I can only guess is entry class or a woman rider it's just not up to snuff. I like the power plant, but I think it's time to send it to the Chinese for a knockoff attempt.
Uncool
there aint nothin like it

I wouldn't ride it. It still has a skinny front tire and is designed for short people.

OK, they put a 1200 engine in a SuperLo, hung bags and a windshield on it, and it's a "New Motorcycle." Yes. Of course it is...... :frusty:

Not.

Uncool for marketing fail. I wanna have Jennifer Gersch's (Harley-Davidson Product Planning Manager) job. I get paid a year's salary, and this is all I have to come up with?? Sweet gig!

You can't beat the mileage on this one though - 551 mpg on a 1200! That takes you almost 2500 miles on a full tank of gas. Must be something to do with sitting 60 feet in the air as you ride.

Whoever wrote the specs on this bike was high or drunk or a Harley marketing department burnout. And whoever designed it is trying to sell a "safe" motorcycle, whatever that is, to people who don't ride.

“Many riders seeking an entry point to the touring experience have been putting together a bike like this on their own," per Ms. Gersch. I beg to differ. How many bikes that look like this that are custom made have you ever seen?

Exactly.

If it actually looked good I wouldn't really care about the marketing mumbo-jumbo but when the product is such a disaster it really sounds over the top. Can you tell I hate it? And I ride a cruiser!
Jock
