Joint venture partner. That means CCW put up some equity to enable Asiawing to develop something further on the bike. Maybe bold new graphics? (OK, now I'm being a smarta$$! )

Thank you.

I notice that in every sentence in the description, they talk about "years" of testing:

" 4+ years in the making, thousands of hours of testing. Factory riders and customers have been racing validating this model for several years. It is finally ready for CCW to release it under our brand with the improvements and lessons learned through the last several years. This model was not originated by CCW, but we have been brought onboard to ensure the bike would live up to our standards, with constant improvement over the last several years."

They been workin' on this for years, folks, several years.

At first I voted: Uncool, but now I'll go slightly into the Fail as the price isn't $3k as originally thought, but $6k (updated) which puts the bike too close to it's Japanese competition to consider; (unless your budget is already stretched to get to the $6k).

Thanks so much jstark47 for doing a little research and finding out this bike is made by Asiawing... I also took that and did a bit more research and the bike is also sold under:

Argentina (Heikon TT450 and Backfire BXF450),
Australia (Odes MCF450E),
Brazil (Tokens TXR450),
Chile (Takasaki LX450),
China (Asiawing LD450),
Czech Republic (Václav Vizinger VV MX450),
Finland (Menopeli LD450),
France and other border countries (Upower PZF 450),
Germany (Borossi BT 450 LX),
Italy (GioItalia 450 Motard),
Netherlands (Asiawing LX 450X),
Russia (Forsage 450),
South Africa (BigBoy SMR450),
Spain (Impormotor IMR 450R),
Sweden (Monstra 450),
United States (Christini AWD 450, CCW Hooligun 450X).

to name a few...

But that said, it's a Honda "developed" engine licensed to Asiawing, so that isn't bad. But again, at $6k... hmmmm.... I just can't see myself seriously considering a bike "assembled in the USA" but built in China for that money. That said, I have to remember that Japanese cars/bikes were also thought the same way and you can see how long it's taken the Korean's to be accepted in the car world (and just a little behind that, the bike world)... so give it 20 years...

For the record, I DO think the Graphics are very cool. :D

NOTES: A new direction for CCW, bringing in a $6,000 Chinese bike, will it work? Well, this bike isn't new, it's made in China by Asiawing and sold as the LX 450X... which is sold under a multitude of names in different countries around the world. So, it's not original at all, but is it good enough for $6k when a Suzuki isn't much more?

Next 2014 TMW Cool Wall bike is now up for voting on, have fun!!

Shows how dispicable they are and go to no end to try to fool the public and hide the fact that it is a POS from China by using fitctitious Italian sounding names like Borossi and fictitious Japanese sounding names like Takasaki.
