Like a hand made suit the Cafe Racer is made to measure for the most exclusive motorcyclists.
Stand out from the crowd without exageration.
Small differences make for a great riding satisfaction.
PROJECT
The design idea used for the development of the Cafè Racer was that of creating a TNT inspired by the racing bikes of the past, but with a series of unique, sophisticated details to make it modern and effective.
The result is a motorcycle with an extraordinary personality - a bike which simultaneously offers riding comfort and extreme performance thanks to its exceptional components: a higher and more protective windscreen for greater aerodynamic protection, lower clip-on handlebars in aluminium alloy, single seat ballypan and tailpiece to experience the thrills of riding a true racer alone, eccentric foot board adjustment system, carbon parts and seat support.
As with the design, the colour was also inspired by the past for an exceptional aesthetic impact and to make the Café Racer even more exclusive in the world gamma of the Streetfighters.

Re: This Week: 2010 Benelli Cafe Racer 1130 - Vote Today
A little recent blast from the past from Benelli, when Benelli was Italian and not Chinese owned. I picked the 2010 vs the 2011 simply because I liked our (TMW) press photos more. But the same bike.
Enjoy!

Enjoy!

Re: This Week: 2010 Benelli Cafe Racer 1130 - Vote Today
I gave it a cool vote...the 3cyl is kind of original, but with Triumph, Yamaha & MV Agusta using them...not that rare anymore.
The styling is a mix of Buell 1125 CR & Suzuki B-King...but it's a naked bike, so I like it!
Later.

I'm sure it goes like Jack-the-bear but I just don't think it looks all that naked. Too many farkles already. And what is the list price? (Not that I'm in the market for this kind of bike but it is an important factor for those who are).
Uncool.
Uncool.

Re: This Week: 2010 Benelli Cafe Racer 1130 - Vote Today
Putting aside the fact that they are notoriously problem stricken, as well as the fact you would likely have issues getting parts for it, and maybe the fact that they were so overpriced combined with the previously mentioned facts that they stayed on the showroom floor for years - the bloody thing is ridiculously ugly. If you have seen one up close you have likely noticed how the paint on the frame looks like a teenager painted it in shop class too.
I don't know if I have ever wanted to give a bike on the cool wall a lower rating.

I almost never give a fail or an awesome, holding the extreme ratings in reserve for the extreme, but this is a fail.
What is a Cafe Racer? Is a Cafe Racer defined by clip-on handlebars? This moto has lots of ugly angular junk bolted on all over the frame, exactly the type of junk any self respecting ton-up boy is going to strip off a bike at the first opportunity. Where exactly is the clean utilitarian minimalism? Instead, this motorcycle screams excess.

Re: This Week: 2010 Benelli Cafe Racer 1130 - Vote Today
Uncool. Ugly colors, bulbous styling (the radiator/indicator pods are especially hideous), terrible reputation for parts and service, and the Cafe Racer name is inappropriate, pretentious, and vaguely insulting to people who know and love cafe racers. I'd much rather get a 2010 Speed Triple.
